Welcome! We love learning, discussing and sharing – topics ranging from trends in interior styling, craftsmanship in metalwork, how to be a furniture designer.
3 weeks to delivery: how we are able to do it
We have some products that are ‘made to order’. As we are an independent company, producing larger products as they are ordered enables us to keep prices more accessible and ensures quality is maintained.
All products are made in our workshop in Dorking, Surrey. This enables us to have full control over production timetables.
Before a collection or product makes it on to our website, all designs go through a selection process. Prototypes are made to ensure functionality and integrity of design is executed to a very high standard.
Week 1 is exciting!
An order is placed for one of our products – yeah we are happy! This order wings its way to our workshop and work begins on the piece usually within 1-2 days.
Week 2 is full of skilled work
There will be cutting, bending and welding going on. Each piece is inspected before painting or anodising takes place. Any adjustments are made. Mick our quality control expert is a hard man to please! We do send our products to a local painter or anodiser who is exceptionally skilled at what he does.
Week 3 inspected and delivered
First thing in the week there is a final inspection of the product. Then it is placed in custom designed packaging to provide maximum protection whilst in transit.
Our larger ‘made to order’ products are collected by our chosen British delivery company and makes its way to our customer. You can read about our delivery services here.
The box arrives at our customer’s house and they open it with a smile. Job done!
